Synopsis

"The night Max wore his wolf suit and made mischief of one kind and another, his mother called him WILD THING...." So begins his night where his imagination and dreams take him to a forest, the seas, and jungle where he tames the wild things.

Description

This 2009 printing of Where The Wild Things Are is the 25th anniversary edition (first printed in 1988) of the original 1963 publication. For the anniversary printing new engravings were made from the original art. In 1964 Maurice Sendac received the prestigious Caldecott Medal Award for his imaginative illustrations. There soon will be a movie released of "Where the Wild Things Are.' Young children will find it helpful to read (or have someone read to them) the original story. It remains a delight for young and old.

New Arrival

Caps for Sale

Esphyr Slobodkina has recreated an old folk tale about a peddlar selling caps and a band of monkeys who have their own ideas for those hats, monkey business. Ms. Slobodkina's bright colorful illustrations of the gray, brown, blue, and red caps all balancing on the peddlars head and then on the heads of the mischievious monkeys adds to the fun of Caps for Sale.
