Why You Will Like This Book

If you could select only one book that includes information about and biographies of artists and also offers hands-on art project instructions, Discovering Great Artists by MaryAnn Kohl would be your chosen selection.

Children from ages 4 – 12 (or into adulthood) can find a personally pleasing art project within these pages. There are icons with each project indicating the degree of involvement and planning time for the adult in charge and other icons suggesting the level of art experience needed for a given project. Other icons indicate what art medium or technique is utilized and what artist style is represented. MaryAnn Kohl was very thorough in her layout of this book, making it extremely easy for parents (or teachers) to use.
