Anne Rockwell and her daughter Lizzy have created a nostalgic look at fall. The pictures of red apples and bright orange pumpkins tell the story of a family involved in a fall ritual. This is a cheerful story that concludes with the carving of the pumpkin and the little girl going trick-or-treating up and down her block on Halloween night. The words are few and are of large print making this a good beginning reader picture book.
