Why I chose this book
I was among those who watched "Amahl and the Night Visitors" on television in 1951. I loved the music and the words of the Gian Carlo Menotti story. When I discovered that the opera I enjoyed so much as a child was available in print, I ordered the book. I can hear the voices singing the words as I read the text. This is a beautiful story of the Christmas message.
