About the Author
"Lisa Bany-Winters began performing in community plays at the age of eleven....Her favorite part was the theater games and improvisation. She founded Emanon theater Company when she was fifteen years old. Within eight years, Emanon became an established professional theater company with a talented ensemble of actors who, under Lisa's direction, create original adaptations of children's classics through improvisation.
In 1990 she co founded the Evanston Children's Theater in Evanston, Illinois, giving children ages eight to twelve the opportunity to perform.
Currently she is the theater coordinator for the Emanon School of Performing Arts in Skokie, Illinois where she directs the children's theater, teen improv theater, and the Performing Arts Camp. She is a graduate of Columbia College in Chicago.
