Synopsis of Art for Fun

Art for Fun Projects "introduces the young reader to some of the world's greatest artists, their techniques, and the materials they used. Discover how to paint people in the style of Van Gogh, learn to sculpt animals like Henry Moore, assemble a still life in the style of Picasso, make a surreal athlete like Dali, or experiment with light and color to create a landscape like Monet."

Description

--125 pages with approximately 62 projects-- Each group of two pages includes the author's description of the type of artwork depicted, a project with step-by-step instructions for creating a project in the presented style, a gallery page that depicts the painter's work. For instance on pages 14 and 15, Gustav Klimt's work is featured. On page 14 the young artist is instructed how to create a life-sized figure using patterns and color in the style of Klimt.
